E-Bike battery not charging or range significantly reduced
Safety note: E-Bike batteries use high-voltage lithium cells – never charge a damaged, swollen, or wet battery! Possible causes: deeply discharged battery (charger shows no indicator light), faulty charging cable, or corroded contacts. Clean the contacts on the battery and charging port with a dry cloth. Test the charger at a different power outlet. A deeply discharged battery may take up to 30 minutes before the LED indicator responds. A significantly reduced range indicates cell ageing (normal after 500–1,000 charge cycles). Capacity testing and any cell repair must only be carried out by a certified e-bike workshop.
