Cooker hood has poor suction or is very loud – what to do?

The most common causes are a clogged grease filter or a full activated carbon filter. Clean metal grease filters every 4–6 weeks in the dishwasher or with hot water and washing-up liquid. Activated carbon filters (used in recirculation mode) cannot be cleaned and must be replaced every 3–6 months – check the type in the manual. Loud noises after cleaning indicate worn fan bearings; in that case, contact a specialist. Never disassemble electrical components yourself.
