Oven gets hot on top but doesn't cook through on the bottom – cause & solution
If baked goods brown on top but stay raw on the bottom, the lower heating element (bottom heat) is usually faulty. Preheat the empty oven briefly on top/bottom heat and look through the glass door: if only the upper heating element glows and the lower one stays dark, this confirms the fault. First check whether only top heat or grill mode was accidentally selected. If the fault is confirmed, the lower heating element must be replaced – due to the 230-volt connection inside the appliance, this is generally a job for customer service or a qualified technician. Before carrying out any work, disconnect the oven from the power supply (unplug it or switch off the circuit breaker).
