Washing Machine: Water Won't Drain – What to Do?

The most common cause is a clogged lint filter or a kinked drain hose. Turn the machine off and unplug it. Open the small maintenance panel at the front bottom and place a bowl underneath – residual water will run out. Slowly unscrew the filter cap and remove any lint, coins, or other foreign objects. Then check whether the drain hose at the back of the machine is kinked or blocked and straighten it out. Once everything is clean, close it all up securely and run a test cycle.
