Microwave: Turntable Has Stopped Spinning – Simple Fix
This is most often caused by a dirty or incorrectly seated turntable drive. Remove the glass plate and the roller ring beneath it, and clean both along with the recess in the base using warm soapy water. Make sure to place the roller ring correctly back into the guide groove and position the glass plate centrally. Check whether the plate is being blocked by oversized containers. If the turntable still does not spin after cleaning and correctly reassembling, the small electric motor underneath may be faulty – in that case a qualified repair shop is recommended, as working inside a microwave is dangerous due to high-voltage capacitors.
