Egg cooker: eggs not cooking properly
Common causes: wrong amount of water, eggs not pierced, or limescale build-up on the heating plate is affecting cooking time. Steps: always use the measuring cup markings provided for the desired level of doneness – the amount of water determines the cooking time. Pierce eggs beforehand at the rounded end using the included pin to prevent them from cracking. Descale the heating plate regularly: add water with a little citric acid or vinegar, heat briefly, leave to cool, then rinse out. Eggs taken straight from the fridge need around 1–2 minutes longer – factor this in when measuring the water.
