Tyre Pressure Warning Light On – What Now?

The TPMS symbol (yellow wheel with exclamation mark) illuminates when the pressure in at least one tyre is too low – often due to temperature fluctuations, a slow puncture, or normal pressure loss over time. Drive promptly to the nearest petrol station and check the pressure in all four tyres using the air pump. The recommended pressure can be found on the door jamb (inside, driver's door) or on the fuel filler cap. Inflate to the specified value (typically 2.2–2.6 bar at the front, depending on the vehicle and load). If a tyre deflates again quickly or you can see a foreign object in the tread, go to a garage – a nail in a tyre can often be repaired cheaply. After inflating, the warning light usually goes out automatically after a short drive.
