Tumble dryer no longer drying properly – laundry stays damp

If laundry comes out of a condenser dryer still damp and drying takes forever, the airflow is almost always blocked by lint. Clean the lint filter in the door thoroughly after every load. Also remove the heat exchanger (condenser) from behind the flap at the bottom and rinse it under running water until no more lint comes out – this step is often forgotten and is the most common cause of the problem. Empty the condensate container and keep the ventilation openings clear; do not overload the drum. If this doesn't help, the moisture sensor or heating element may be faulty – in that case, contact customer service.
