Device Not Found on Wi-Fi or Unable to Connect

Typical causes: wrong password, device too far away, or the router is blocking the device (MAC filtering). Step 1: Re-enter the Wi-Fi password carefully – pay attention to upper and lower case; the password is often printed on a sticker on the router. Step 2: Make sure the device is selecting the correct network (5 GHz networks often have the same name with a '_5G' suffix). Step 3: Toggle Wi-Fi off and on on the device, then 'forget' the saved network and reconnect from scratch. Step 4: In the router's admin interface under 'connected devices' or 'parental controls/access control', check whether the device has been blocked. Step 5: If an older device only supports 2.4 GHz, make sure that band is enabled on the router.
