No Internet Even Though Wi-Fi Is Connected – What to Do

A common cause: the device is connected to Wi-Fi, but the router itself has no internet connection – or there is an IP address conflict. Step 1: Unplug the router and modem (if separate) from the power outlet for 30 seconds, then plug them back in and wait 2 minutes. Step 2: Check whether other devices also have no internet – if so, the problem lies with the router or your provider. Step 3: Check the status LEDs on the router: a permanently red or orange flashing WAN/Internet LED indicates a connection problem. Step 4: Check your provider's outage page or call their hotline to see whether a fault has been reported. Step 5: If only one device is affected, toggle Wi-Fi off and on again on that device and try 'Reset network settings' in the device menu.
