Internet Connection Drops Every Evening – Causes

Evening connection drops are often caused by automatic forced disconnections by your internet provider (usually around midnight), which briefly reconnect the router. Check in the router interface whether a persistent connection ('always on') is set instead of 'on demand'. Another reason: channel congestion, because many neighbours use Wi-Fi simultaneously in the evening – manually change the Wi-Fi channel in the router settings (e.g. channel 1, 6, or 11 on 2.4 GHz). An overheating router can also fail in the evening – ensure adequate ventilation and do not place it in an enclosed compartment.
