Connected to Public Wi-Fi but Pages Won't Load – What to Do

In hotels, cafés, or train stations, a login portal (captive portal) often appears that you must confirm first. After connecting to the Wi-Fi, open a browser and visit a simple page such as 'http://neverssl.com' – the login window will usually appear automatically. If nothing loads, temporarily disable any VPN or firewall apps on your device. Check that the date and time on your device are correct – incorrect time settings often block HTTPS connections. Avoid online banking on public networks and enable a VPN where possible for greater security.
