Setting up a repeater or mesh system – step by step

Place the repeater halfway between the router and the area with poor reception – it must still be able to receive a strong signal from the router. Press the WPS button on the router, then press the WPS button on the repeater within 2 minutes; the connection will be set up automatically. Alternatively, configure the repeater via its browser interface (the address is listed in the manual). For a mesh system, follow the manufacturer's app – the devices usually detect each other automatically. Give the repeater network the same Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password as the router so that your smartphone switches seamlessly between them.
