Weak Wi-Fi signal in one room – what helps?

Thick walls, concrete ceilings, or long distances can significantly weaken the Wi-Fi signal. Place the router as centrally and as high up as possible – not inside a cupboard or behind the TV. Switch to the 2.4 GHz network, which has a longer range than 5 GHz, even if it is slightly slower. A Wi-Fi repeater or a mesh system (e.g. a second access point) can deliver a reliable signal to the weak room. Avoid sources of interference such as microwaves or cordless phones near the router.
