Two Devices Interfering on the Network – Resolving an IP Conflict

An IP conflict occurs when two devices on the network share the same IP address – typical symptoms are sudden connection drops or loss of internet access on one device. Restart both affected devices and the router so that the router can reassign IP addresses. If a device has a fixed (static) IP, change it in the network settings to 'Obtain IP address automatically (DHCP)'. Check in the router interface under 'Connected Devices' whether any address has been assigned twice. If needed, assign a static IP to important devices (e.g. a printer) outside the router's DHCP range.
